Our Leadership
Our leadership team is comprised of state officers, board of directors, and chapter presidents. State officers are elected by our members to serve in various roles that support the guidance and growth of our society during their 2-year term.
Responsibilities include advocating for the respiratory care profession on the local and national stage; providing financial viability to push initiatives and opportunities; and most importantly, engage with members through education and scholarships to promote heart and lung health in our communities.

Past Presidents
Presidents serve a 4-year term to ensure the consistency of leadership, communication, and transition since our inception starting in 1972. Our first meeting took place in 1973.
For their first year, they serve as president elect. The second and third, as president. And last but not least, the fourth as past president providing consultancy.
Check out and meet a few of our our past presidents during their tenure with the Respiratory Care Society of Washington.
