TOPIC: Advances in Noninvasive Ventilation in Acute Care Application and Techniques The Science of Mask Interface

PURPOSE:To provide an interactive learning experience for health care providers.

OBJECTIVES:

• To increase understanding of indications, applications and benefits of noninvasive ventilation.

• To demonstrate how to initiate, monitor, assess and titrate patients on noninvasive ventilation.

• To gain hands-on experience with leak tolerance, leak compensation, and successful application of a variety of interfaces.
